Finding the cause

Dry eye has more than one cause. At the first visit, Dr. Brandvold looks at your tear film, your eyelids and the oil glands along the lid edge. She also asks about screens, medicines and your work.

Your plan

You leave with a written plan. It often starts with home care: warm compresses, lid cleaning and the right drops. In office care comes next if you need more. We check how it is working in a few weeks.

Questions about dry eye care

My eyes water all the time. How can that be dry eye?

An irritated eye surface can make extra watery tears that do not protect it well. The doctor checks for this at the visit.

Does insurance cover dry eye visits?

A dry eye visit is a medical visit, so it is usually billed to your medical insurance, not your vision plan. We check your coverage first.
